Town Centre Firehall

Recreational

Coquitlam’s main fire hall was constructed in the mid-’80s with facilities that no longer met current needs. MIZA was retained by the City to redevelop the kitchen, dining, and lounge spaces for the hall, including consultation, design, documentation, and construction administration. The scope included minor demolition, millwork, finishes, plumbing and electrical upgrades, new appliances, and a commercial range with NFPA 96-compliant range hood installed during the retrofit. The renovation resulted in a modern, bright and pleasant working space that receives heavy use by the on-duty fire fighters 365 days a year.
